Ethoxylation improves compatibility and allows higher dosage in water-based formulations resulting excellent dynamic wetting, especially suitable for high speed demanding applications such as aqueous wood coatings, auto coatings, industrial coatings, printing inks, overprint vanish, pressure sensitive adhesives and laminating adhesives, pigment dispersions, cement and agricultural chemicals etc. Surfacol-420 also used as a defoamer in some of these applications.

Higher ethoxylation improves compatibility and solubility in water with low foaming tendency. Surfacol-465 shows higher electrolyte concentration tolerance and its higher cloud point allows applications under higher temperature, providing good dynamic wetting properties in functional coatings, inkjet inks, pressure-sensitive adhesives, fountain solutions, latex dipping, agricultural chemicals, metal working fluid and electroplating etc.

General Dosage & Instruction
-General use levels at 0.1% – 3% based on total formulation.
-Adding surfactant at early stage of formulation for better dissolution.
-Moderate agitation for minimum 15-30 minutes for maximum mixing.
-Addition to the coating as supplied or as a pre-dilution is possible.
-Addition to the grind is recommended in pigmented systems.
-Applying ladder study for optimal dosage and conditions of addition.
