The production of n-propanol by ethylene oxo synthesis is the most important production process in China, accounting for 84.5% of the country’s total production capacity.
The production capacity of the allyl alcohol hydrogenation method is 15,000 tons, accounting for 10% of the total domestic production capacity.
In 2019, China still maintains strong external dependence on n-propanol. According to the data, from January to May 2019, China ’s import of n-propanol was 35,800 tons, and the cumulative export from January to May was only 37.49 tons. From January to May 2018, China’s total import of n-propanol was 28,900 tons, and the cumulative increase from January to May 2019 was up to 23.61% year-on-year.
